The leader of the largest monastery in China (and possibly the world) will be holding a dialogue on Tibetan Buddhism and contemporary education with David Germano and Kurtis Schaeffer today, Thursday May 5th, 5pm in the Kaleidoscope Room, Newcomb Hall.

Please join us for Talal Asad's keynote lecture as part of our Virginia Colloquium on Theology Ethics and Culture. The topic is Religion and Media.

We are pleased to announce the following courses available in the department this coming Summer 2016 term.

The next distinguished visitor for the Workshop on Religion and Society in Greco-Roman Antiquity will be David Frankfurter of Boston University, who will be on Grounds next week, April 11-12.
